Wont be necessary but will look nice on the resume. Especially when we are 11-1.

This was for FCS vs. Group of 5 matchups but there was an article for FCS vs. Power 5 possible upsets but it listed only 7 games and the FU/VPI game was not listed.

When I opened the link I thought I was going to read about a possible upset of Va Tech. I don't know that I would consider a win over Georgia State an upset.
Georgia State beat Kennesaw State last season (in a close match), who is one of the better FCS teams.

GSU isn't a world beater, but they are probably the equivalent of a top 15-20 FCS program. They won't be a pushover.

Right - that's my basic thought.. the GSU win over KSU. And I would rather face KSU as they are an option team. They would be a ranked FCS team on the road. Tough win... I would say 30% Furman / 70$ GSU at GSU.. 50/50 at Furman. I would have to look at their schedule from last year and returning players. It would be a great win to help our resume but wouldn't kill us to lose it. If we lose VT and GSU we probably need to make 8-2 otherwise to have a shot (8-4 overall). 8-4 with 2 FBS losses probably gets you in playoff from SoCon.

Also, win over KSU shows they may have a disciplined D. Though article shows they give up ground yardage at 6 yards a clip. I just haven't done any research yet. CSU first

Of course, Kennesaw State is usually propped up by a pretty weak schedule.

The Owls did best Wofford in the post season in a low scoring game. KSU struggled to score against a Terrier defense Furman ran off the field.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
