Measure twice, cut once. While I agree this is the time to take longer strides, I hope any campaign avoids appearing haphazard or rushed. To be sure, BR intimated there have already been facilities discussions. Perhaps they can bundle their high-priority items into a campaign and get a tangible win-win (successful campaign AND needed facilities).
Furman ALREADY has a “men’s basketball enhancement fund” as well as a women’s basketball fund. A positive step forward is to contribute to that (or to both of those). Something bigger than that, I imagine, would need to be a project approved by Board of Trustees and/or initiated by a major benefactor. The coach’s vision can be (is) a spark. Whether it starts a flame is up to others including us all.DungeonRealm wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 7:36 pmThe first thing that must happen is Furman must PUT UP a public fundraising campaign, then the rest of us can PUT INTO that, that's the best way to build momentum and get results

Count me in to donate if you post it here.FU03times wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2019 9:22 amOn that note...Dins Day is coming up, and as a young alumn I’ve been recruited to be a social advocate and raise money for my preferred part of the campus. Guess what I’ve chosen! Would y’all donate if I post it here? You can see the progress with each single donation and we can all put our money where our mouths are and do the darn thing.
