In WBB, Furman has not beaten Mercer since 2012, when the Paladins beat Mercer by 11 in Greenville 4 days after Mercer was beaten on the road at Notre Dame by 57 points (93-36) and 2 days after Thanksgiving (nice scheduling )

The Paladins are 0-11 vs. the Bears since that game. Mercer WBB has not lost a SoCon game in 2 years and has not lost to a SoCon Team other than Chattanooga in almost 4 seasons.

A Paladin win on Sunday would certainly be quite an upset.

Regardless of the outcome on Sunday, Coach Carson is to be lauded for a fantastic season. Only losing 1 Sr, albeit a 6-1 Starter, the program appears to be poised to mount a challenge to Mercer’s recent SoCon WBB dominance. Maybe they’ll start that run on Sunday.

Mercer hasn’t lost a SoCon game in TWO years. Strong.

Mercer came very close to losing one just a few weeks ago - and at home. They squeaked by Furman 66-62. The Dins have a real shot here against an excellent Mercer program.
