Four of those last 4 NCAA teams lost today. I am pretty sure you have to have a .500 record to get an NIT bid. Penn St is 4 games under .500.

I think the NIT and CBI allows losing records while the CIT doesn't. The NIT is much more prestigious and would be a great milestone for this program especially an at large bid. I'm sure a SOCON has gone at large before but I can't remember it. Maybe one of the old Davidson squads?

Don’t want to think about or discuss the NIT. We are going to the Big Dance!

Furman went to NIT in 1991, losing in first round.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
