Agreed, we’ve looked in control of Mercer in both games this year. Would be ok with UTC too, but twice in less than a week could be tough. No thanks on Sanford again.

Yeah, and with a tanking(I think) UNCG squad in the semis, things are coming around. Of course who knows who will suddenly get hot.

3 vs 6 game is that damn 8:30pm slot. Not good for the team or the fans. Gotta make sure it doesn't effect our play!

Yeah, and with a tanking(I think) UNCG squad in the semis, things are coming around. Of course who knows who will suddenly get hot.

UNCG is 25-5 and will finish in second place. They won 8 straight, then lost to us and Woffy. They have won 3 in a row since those losses. I don’t think they are tanking.

But needed OT to beat Western at home (so did we but we are playing a lot better now) and they they struggled to slip by a hot shooting Citadel team last night.

In case it has not been said yet- Furman spring break is starting today until next Sunday. It’s very likely there will be a student crowd for Saturday and Sunday game and I can assume students will be willing to drive up for the Monday night game!!!

UNCG has been winning close games against much lower ranked teams all year. Here are some of their other margins of victory and the Pomeroy rank of the team they beat -

NC A&T #313 (won by 8); Elon #315 (won by 1); North Alabama #287 (won by 5); VMI #290 (won by 3.)

Last year they were lucky to beat VMI in one game but knocked us off twice, won the conference, and took Gonzaga to the wire in the NCAAs. 25-5 is the main number I see for them.

I like our chances against Mercer in the tourney. Sure “on a given day” but no doubt who the better team is. We are more talented.

The two teams I would least like to play are ETSU and Wofford and we will not play one of those teams until the final.

UNCG will be tough but we can absolutely beat them.

In case anyone cares, there’s a social media contest for hashtags on twitter, and we are on the “championship” game vs ETSU
Needless to say twitter world is full of ETSU fans so we are not doing too great currently, but we have 14 hours to turn it around if we all share it and vote for our hashtag...or at least not lose to ETSU by a 80% margin
