I do not remember looking forward to a regular season basketball game as much as I am looking forward to the game this weekend.
Win or lose , I think it will be a great game.
As a long time Paladin fan, having endured many down years , we should be thankful that the basketball program has improved such that games like this are possible.

I think our minds would be blown if you told us 5 years ago where we would be:

Win over #8 defending National Champ Villanova - Great
Defeat 2 of previous years final four teams on the road - Nice
Set the individual single game 3 point record - Cool
Ranked in AP Top 25 for 3 weeks - Unimaginable
Selling Out Timmons Arena like its nothing - Great
Have a player putting up overall #'s not seen since the likes of Larry 'Legend' Bird - Fantastic
Be rated in the Top 50 Net rankings headed into major rivalry showdown vs. Top 25 Net team at home - Can't wait

Still so much to play for!
Gunning for school record 24 wins - Great
Gunning for postseason berth in NCAA or NIT - Huge

Well said, I was thinking about this today, you not only have to be good but things have to fall your way sometimes to get in a position like the Paladins are today. We don't have the luxury of being mediocre like the big boys do. We have to be exceptional. It has been the most enjoyable season I can remember since the 70's. Still some work to do, let's finish strong. Go Paladins!

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
