FCS Championship Game to be 6 hours closer by 2026.
Too bad the quarterfinals and the semifinals are not also going to be held in some predetermined location similarly close to the southeastern US!
Presently (for some reason!?!?) quarterfinals and semifinals seem often destined for some out-of-the way place in South Dakota, North Dakota, or Montana.
… NOTE: IF the CG were to be in the geographic center of US, it would be in Kansas City.
But KC is as distant from Furman as Frisco is. Saint Louis would be closer by 4 hours. Nashville obviously is better than Frisco, and KC, and SL.
So getting the CG back into the state of Tennessee is progress.
… Maybe have ALL the Playoffs, except round 1, in Nashville, or Saint Louis, or Kansas City.
… But like FUBeAR has stated, the best way is to start out as the #1 or #2 seed!
So let’s do that AND ALSO get the CG moved to Charlotte or Columbia or Athens or Knoxville. (After all, 3 of those 4 it’s already headed for an SEC city for 2026 and 2027.)
