Furman lost in overtime to perennial power house and current #9 UNC Chapel Hill. 15-14

Overtime in Lacrosse is sudden death, so first goal wins. Paladins went into the OT with an 8-1 run. Tremendous swings in the game.

FU seems to always play these big games close. I am very hopeful for the season to continue on an upward trajectory and to have a NCAA playoff berth.

Just wanted to post this since the site was down and I have missed getting my inside scoops and Paladin news.

William Holcomb, JR, is looking for a break out year. Keep him on your radar.

Haven't seen the team yet this year but from the scores of the first few games, it is obvious this group has the ability to score a lot of goals. I think they lost the entire defense from last year and some strong defensive middies as well. It will take this new group a while to jell but the games will be fun to watch with all the scoring at least. Hopefully they will be hitting on all cylinders before SOCON play begins.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
