Thanks for sharing this. My high school journalism teacher played soccer at Furman. I remember her telling us about this and showing us a picture of her and the women's soccer team with Pele.

I don't think that I fully grasped the significance at the time. It's cool to see the story and to be able to place it with the memory of her story.

I always tell people I saw Pele at Furman. Now I can add the exact day and event. He was incredibly accessible and nice.
