First time FU and NC State have met since 2003. Would be nice to steal one of these. Just don't think we will score much against this type of pitching.

Not with that attitude, anyway. Go 'Dins, beat FUWolfpacker's puppy squad. ;)

My inner 15-17 year old, who grew up in Raleigh, is reminding me that if the weather is really nice and warm this weekend, Lee Field, between Lee/Sullivan/Bragaw dorms and Doak Field/Dail Park, would be an EXCELLENT place to bring a cooler & watch some fine...baseball...this weekend.

Wait, I just looked online - there is now a solid & high left field fence at Doak Field, which means you can't see the games from Lee Field anymore.

Ah well, I still have those memories, from back in the day, of spending weekend days on Lee Field...watching excellent, um, baseball.

GO 'DINS - Make the Pack pay for building that wall!!!

Clemson game and now the 1st against NC St. have been very ugly games for the Dins, I was hoping we could get one of these 5 games (Clem, NC St, USC) but not looking good right now, still 3 chances to go though

I think the only thing in doubt the rest of the weekend is will we score? Hitting is pretty anemic so far this year if not downright pitiful.

Great game today. We scored 2 and held them to single digits(9). :) Maybe we can come within a half dozen tomorrow.

Was hoping we might could come within a half dozen today but doesn't look like that is going to happen. Already down 7-0 in the 6th.

That was a pretty demoralizing series. Outscored 28-2. Shutout twice. Last year we started slowly, got shutout at Ole Miss but we had pitching to keep games close. Last year we had some talent and knew we were better than that. Not so sure about this team. Just don't see a lot to hang our hat on right now. Lots of new faces in the lineup. Hopefully things will improve.

FWIW NC State went to Clempson and swept the 16-1 Tigers. CU only scored 5 runs with 4 of those coming on Sunday.
