It was just a matter of when S.C. scored to end the game. They finally did in the 12th to break a 1-1 tie. Paladins pounded out 3 hits in 12 innings, 2 of them by Jake Crawford who’s HR was the dins only run. We could have played all night and not scored again. S.C. tried to give us the game in the bottom of the ninth by misplaying a long fly into a 3 base error. All was needed was fly ball but we pop up and strike out to end the threat. Hitting and I use the term loosely is horrible. Wasted a great pitching performance from a Lazzaro and Beatson. They deserved to win.

I honestly was hoping they would send the guy from third on the pop up, very little was happening at the plate.

I was thinking the same. Hope for a bad throw or catcher drop the ball. Chances of getting a 2 out hit was non-existent.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
