Paladins score 8 in the 8th to break a 4-4 tie and then give up 5 in the bottom of the eight before Kimbell closes it out in the 9th. Freshman Mihalik hit his second HR in as many games and went 3-5. Crawford with a 3 run HR to close out the 8th ended up being the winning hit. Mercer was 25-6 and 5-1 going into this game.

Please remind me how many scholarships FU baseball has to offer these days. Is it the NCAA max? How do we compare to the rest of the Southern Conference in # of scholarships?

Pretty sure FU and the rest of the SoCon give the max of 11.7 scholarships for baseball. I know we went to the max a few years(2013) ago from 7. I know some have said baseball was cut again in 2014 but I am not sure. The NCAA needs to increase the amount of baseball scholarships considering what other sports limits are.
