Lacrosse can be played on the Rugby field. Plenty of room, plenty of stands.

Going back to original post, anyone know if in fact Latham Stadium will become a lax field and if anything is being done to it?
Funny. The one I heard just yesterday was that the women’s softball team is moving to Latham. I was told the fence had already been moved in and the field changed to align with women’s softball. I told him that I was just out there the day before, so if those changes were made that quickly, we need to hire them to fix our roads.

Was out there today to see the changes at PS with my daughter. Field looks great. Signage on the home stand side touting the SoCon championships, playoff appearances etc. No changes to the baseball field. When we went by she asked when does baseball start back. When I tokd her Furman no longer has a baseball team thanjs to the current president, she said that was sad, that they have such a pretty field and facility. Yes I know.

From today’s press release about the new surface. “In addition to Paladin football, the new surface will also be utilized by Furman's women's lacrosse program.”

Don't discount the popularity of Soccer and the way it is growing around here. Drive by the MESA complex pretty much any Saturday or Sunday. It is usually packed to the rim.
Atlanta United vs New York Red Bulls drew 42,575 fans to their game in the Atl. on Monday night.

You only have to go to a Greenville Triumph game to see rabid soccer fans. Seriously, it’s a wild atmosphere.

Not only do we have a soccer team, but that soccer team has Furman Players! Ben Hale and Cole Mclagan. Also, this soccer team won their championship last year, was second the year before, and are certainly contenders this year. They play downtown at the Legacy Early College (old Parker High School) behind the train station.
This has been advertised through local Greenville news and on Furman social media.

But anyways... Latham is still a baseball stadium.
