It's fun to at least review where we have been.

ESPN's Jay Bilas Top 68
Wofford 28
Furman 56
UNCG 58

Clempson just blew the game with NC State by scoring 16 points in the second half after leading by 16 at the half. If they put Clempson in it will be a travesty.

Interesting he has Gardner Webb #68, that's a W for us :D

Not sure what that means when it says "they look to make their first NCAA appearance"

Unless they just did not finish the sentence, it should say 7th appearance or first since 1980

I can get past the minor mistakes in this article because it captures the essence of what a mid major conference is fighting here...What other sport do you know where it is so skewed against David than it is towards Goliath...And the Davids that get there, live up to it...But think about all the Davids that get left out...This is a problem...This isn't college footbal...Central Florida might be the first to challenge such an argument in CFB, but they could not hang with Clemson or Bama...There is more a chance that a Furman, UNCG, Wofford or UNCG wins one or more games in an NCAA Tournament in a year like this...But we are slighted like an FCS is against an FBS...It's dumb.

All the evidence one needs is the St. Mary's-Gonzaga upset or UMBC-UVA last year. With the added importance of the 3 pointer, on any given night...……. That's what makes the tournament so unique and fun. Who didn't root for Loyola last year?

Just wondering if these "resume boosters" are ever seen by the committee? Doubtful?

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
