Very tough loss for the Paladins. Special shout out to our incredible seniors MR and AB. They came to play. Also, a nod to Mike Bothwell who in limited minutes was instant offense! More basketball is on the way for us. Congrats to UNCG, ETSU and Wofford. Hope we all do well in the post season!

You forgot to mention senior Jalen Williams. Every player contributed to this team's success.

Agreed. In hindsight Bothwell should have played more down the stretch. The situation didn't seem to bother him at all.

Bothwell has a chance to be a special player as a 2; not a point guard in the way Pugh might be.

I like what I see.

The game last night hurts more than usual. First because of the team/season we had and the game was very winnable. UNCG didn't play well either except for the last 4 minutes. Just hate it because it totally kicked us off the bubble and out of any discussion. It will be interesting if UNCG gets in but that is highly doubtful even though they will finish 28-6. The problem with UNCG is their best wins are against FU and ETSU and WC has absolutely destroyed them. Kudos to the seniors. They deserved better.

Assuming a miracle doesn't happen tonight, the question becomes ... is there any possible way the SoCon gets three teams in the NIT? Doesn't seem likely, but who knows.

Most of the brackets I have seen have all three of us in. Lots of ball to be played with most conference tourneys next weekend, but here is our projected bracket from Mid-Major Madness - they have us as a #2 seed:

1. Texas
8. Loyola IL

4. South Carolina
5. Memphis

3. Saint Mary’s
6. Wichita St.

2. Furman
7. Utah Valley

Would love a home game with the Gamecocks in Round 3...

Need to pull for these teams to win their conference tournaments to eliminate auto bids from smaller conferences: Vermont, Montana, VCU, UC-Irvine, Hofstra, N. Kentucky, Yale, Iona, Norfolk St., St Francis, Pa. Colgate, Sam Houston St., Prairie View, Georgia St. 3 number one teams have already lost their tournaments and wi get auto bids to the NIT: Drake, Redford and South Dakota St.. Last year the 5 big conferences took 14 slots: ACC-3, Big10-2, SEC-2, Pac12-5, Big12-2.
In 2017 the NIT removed the requirement that you had to have a .500 record so that will have an impact. If both Clempson and NC State get bids to the NCAA there will be no ACC teams left with .500 records
