As much as I hate to say it they deserve everything. The championship tomorrow night will be just to showcase WC as UNCG has proven they can't hang with WC losing both games by 30. It's hard to hate on WC when they win both the regular season and tourney and go 21-0. We have had a great season but it pales to the one WC had.

Unfortunately WC continues to dominate us in both basketball and football. They've had a great season and should do well in the Big Dance.

It’s funny, we dominate them in virtually every other sport and have forever, but 99.9% of people only care about the two big ones, and they’ve certainly shined brighter than we have over the last decade or so. Hoping football has turned the corner, and maybe hoops will be OK after MaGee and Jackson leave.

Yep I hope they do well in the NCAA. They are loaded for next year etc. Certainly the team to beat in the near future. I will be pulling for them in the NCAA.

ETSU will be very good next year - they will have everyone back. Without Magee, I think ETSU beats WC.
Losing Rafferty will be huge next year, as our O has revolved around him all year. I don't seen anyone completely filling that void. Gurley is still raw and Mounce is not a post player.

We have narrowed the gap, but they're still the class of the league.

They play the game the right way, ostensibly with good kids. Good representative of the SoCon and SC, for that matter. Good for them. Hopefully they go on a run in the NCAA.

NOT funny that we dominate them in virtually every other sport but not the two big ones. We don’t need to dominate them, but we do very much need to compete much better than we do against them.
We do need to beat them at least as often than they beat us, but that does not necessarily mean domination.
As previously mentioned, we’re
0-40 for the last 40 years with getting to big dance, and they are about to punch their ticket for the 6th time in 10 years; and they’ve been D1 for only 22 years.
Again, I don’t really care that we dominate in other sports if that is the case.

Put down the shovel and step out of the hole. It was the adrenaline of the game talking. We'll let it slide. Thanks for representing the 'Dins at the game for those of us too far away to make the trip.

Also, if you're ever bored and have a few hours to spare, rent and watch "A Few Good Men".

I was clearly being facetious. It’s the worst to be behind them for so long. Unacceptable that they’ve been to NCAAs six times and we have zero. Hopefully next year.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Richey is in his second season and had to replace 4 starters and we had some pretty incredible success. I think Furman this year has shown the fans that this is not a one off - this sort of success is sustainable at this University.

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
