Smart did not score in 17 minutes in our game vs LSU.

From what I've heard, if I had to rate this on a "surprise" scale of 1-10 with 10 being "fall off my chair shocked beyond belief" this is a 1

Doesn't make it any less slimy, but he's just doing business as business is being done at that level.

Other than Pitino, who seems like an absolute scumbag, Self at Kansas is the biggest name I've see thrown around.

UNC and Duke have been obliquely referenced as well. We shall see.

The fit will hit the Shan after the tourney.

LSU just announced that Wade has been suspended indefinitely.

They were shocked to find out that there was "gambling" going on.

Wonder if there is a chance the school would turn down an NCAA bid over this?

You guys are living in fantasyland. Remember this is a big time school in a big time league. The NCAA will launch a 2 year investigation and report all is ok. Remember all the academic fraud at UNC that went ignored?

The academic scandal at UNC didn't result in punishment because the majority of students involved weren't athletes. Regular students benefited from it too.

Typically, wins/titles are not “forfeited” in NCAA punishments. They are, instead, “vacated.” So the Team(s) that lost or finished 2nd do not get a ‘win credit’ or a title.

Former NC State coach Mark Gottfried now mentioned in payments to players

North Carolina's position was that the NCAA lacked jurisdiction on academic issues. Instead this fell to accrediting agencies. As previously mentioned the general student body could take the course and some did. North Carolina was willing to litigate the issue the NCAA wasn't.
