Samford has lost their last two games and fallen to 7th in the SoCon, but they are still a dangerous team as we know
I still have nightmares about the 10pt lead we blew to them in the last 4 mins. earlier this year in Greenville lol

If we beat Samford and UTC , unless Samford beats Wofford, we will play Samford again in the first round of the tournament.
Yes, and in that dreaded last game of the day slot.

Samford could drop to Furman and Wofford. Leaves Mercer to beat VMI and lose to UNCG to be ahead of Samford. I'm thinking Mercer and UTC will tie with Mercer being ahead in the tie breaker (swept Samford while UTC split), and Samford will be sitting 7th. If everyone wins the games they are favored to win.

That's not accurate

If Furman beats Samford and UTC we will be the 3 seed playing the 6 seed

In your scenario where Samford goes 0-2 this week that would leave Mercer or UTC as the 5 and 6 seeds
Samford would be 7 seed and play firday vs. VMI and with a win Saturday against Wofford

All Mercer has to do to finish ahead of Samford is go 1-1 this week unless Samford goes 2-0
Mercer beat Samford 2 times this year so they hold the tie breaker

Here would be my preference:

Furman goes 2-0
Samford goes 0-2
Mercer goes 1-1 (beating VMI)
Citadel goes 1-1 or 0-2

That would result in:
Furman gets the 3 seed and would play 6 seed Mercer Saturday night
Samford gets the 7 seed over Citadel (Win on Friday and Samford will play Saturday noon game vs. Wofford)

If Chattanooga drops both this week and Mercer goes 1-1, Mercer would be 5 and UTC 6.
Good point, still all good, I would take UTC or Mercer as the 6 seed if we get 3rd place over playing Samford for sure

I guess we should just hold off on all this for now and first see how Thursday nights games shake out

This game is important even for our NIT hopes, can't lose 2 games to Samford this year, sagarin has FU as a 4pt favorite on the road in this one

Sharkey had a field day against us last time, containing him will be a huge key

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
