Me too, hopefully with the pressure of being an elite team or a "Very special" team or even a SoCon contender gone maybe the Paladins can relax a little and just play.

So 15-4
4 really tough road losses
@ LSU (14-3)
@ ETSU (16-5)
@ UNCG (17-3)
@ Woff (15-4)
So a combined 62-15 record
I am not gonna sweat any of those road losses
BUT, the time to start winning again is now!

We win this one we will be in 4th place and 1 game behind ETSU for 3rd place, still in good shape, so gotta get after it!

Ken Pom whose been pretty spot on predicting our Ws and Ls this year (aside from Villanova and Loyola) tabs us as a 76-62 winner in this game.
In fact, his current projection only has us losing one more game the rest of the way, Wofford at home. That would leave us with a 25-5 record and 14-4 in the SoCon. That would be unreal and a fantastic season....frankly I can see a few more Ls due to the inconsistency of the team but again, 23-7 and 12-6 is a fantastic year if that’s where we end up.
Interestingly, outside of the Wofford game, Pomeroy says our next most difficult game is Mercer in Macon 58% chance of winning vs ETSU (60%) and UNCG (65%)...

In a way we should go 11-0 out.....because we need to defend home turf and there are the difficulty road games out of the way, that being said I expect one bad night somewhere (please god not Citadel), or loss to Wofford at home.

I thnk we defend our turf against Wofford. Shoulda beat them in Spartanburg if we had consistant shooting. Wofford is good no doubt but beatable.

"Must win game" with "no more pressure". How does that work?

Pressure gone = Extremely high expectations and eyes from the national scene are gone
Must win game = If we want to position ourselves well for the tournament we need to show some fight and continue to protect home court (12 straight home wins)

Seems UTC's Kevin Easley to this point is the most likely to take home SoCon freshmen of the year, the 6-6 forward has been putting up some impressive numbers

This will be the first home game with students back on campus since UNCW home game where we had approximately 600 students at the game, hopefully they are still eager to come out and support the team, and hopefully Furman U is making sure they do their part to continue to get the word out to the student body about coming to hoops games
