Sort of brings the validity and legitimacy of these polls into question, doesn't it? They're more brand recognition (Q factor?) surveys than true assessments of team strength.

Rather be included than not, but thankfully in basketball these don't matter.

It’s just one more mention nationally which can’t do anything but help build our brand and the program.

We know we have to play our way into the NCAA and it will not be easy, once again. I’m not sure it’s realistic to think we can win the reg season title but that would be another nice feather in the cap—along with the auto bid to NIT.

ESPN Basketball Power Index has us as #1 in SOR(Strength Of Record). The AP top 25 should be out around noon today.
