If (WHEN) we beat Wofford Saturday, it looks like we are destined for a first round rematch with WCU. Not my favorite because they will have a decided home-court advantage, but I still think this team will be ready come tourney time.

Then a second round tilt with Sammy to send the Bulldogs home.

First things first - BEAT WOFFORD!!!! Nothing less will do!!!!

So most likely

Sat Furman vs Wofford or WCU
Sun if win vs Samford
Mon if win vs UNCG or UTC

If we lose to either Wofford or WCU that would be the team we would likely face on Saturday.

If we beat both
Wofford still has Samford
WCU still UTC
If just one of them win then they would likely be our opponent

Tie breaker between Wofford and WCU still tbd

4 and/or 5 are the most likely by far and also the 2 worst seeds as it puts you in the 8:45 late game Saturday night and the first game on Sunday at 4 if you win. Not sure a few more hours rest means a lot to 20 year olds but it could as far as prep goes. BTW 7th is not impossible but it is 99.5 impossible. Not only would FU have to lose 3 in a row and Mercer win 3 in a row FU would have to lose to all 3 below them: WC at home, @WCU, MU at home. If that happens we all would be ready for the season to be over.

If we finish 4th or 5th , I think we play at 2:30 on Saturday afternoon.

Michael Cross the new commissioner must have had a hand in changing the seeding times. The 4/5 game if the last of the night which really gives all the advantage to the 1 and 2 seeds. Hope I’m wrong and it’s just a mistake.

I've never seen a tournament setup so that the winner of the last game of one day has to play the first game of the following day.

That is crazy. It has always been the #1 and the #4 playing in the two afternoon games.

We think it is crazy and unfair which it is but if we were #1 or 2 where we should have been we would think it’s great.

Western Should have the tie break over Wofford should they end w identical records. May depend on their records against Mercer and ETSU.

Wouldn’t it go to Wofford due to beating Furman once? I thought if the teams split, it just goes to the team with the better record from the top of the conference down. WCU currently 0-6 against the top 4 teams and a Wofford split.

After today’s games

Sanford 14 wins remaining games at Wofford, Citadel. Has clinch number one seed.

UNC G 11 wins with remaining games against VMI and at ETSU.

Chattanooga 11 wins with home games against Mercer and Western Carolina.

Furman 10 wins and plays at Western and home against Mercer.

Western Carolina 9 wins with games against Furman and at Chattanooga

Wofford 8 wins with games against Sanford and at VMI

Mercer 7 wins and still to play at Chattanooga and Furman at home

ETSU has 6 wins and plays at Citadel and Home against UNCG

Citadel has 3 wins, and plays ETS U, and is at Samford

VMI has 1 win and players at UNCG and Home against Wofford

Samford has clinched #1 seed

Furman could finish #2 - #5
#2 very unlikely as it requires UNCG to lose 2, Furman win 2 and Chat to lose at least 1 (UNCG is 2-0!head to head w Furman)

#3 if Furman wins 1 remaining game more than Chat (Furman wins tiebreak w Chat due to Samford win)

#4 and #5 seeds most likely and happen w multiple different scenarios

Furman cannot be #6 seed - even if Wofford wins out we own tie break as Wofford would have 2 losses to Chat.
