Furman @ Samford 2/21

Time to replicate the last outing to Homewood.. Play together and this team can beat anybody.

Here is some satire I found on the Samford fan board:

“I like us to bounce back and FU to not play as well as they did against UTC. They seem to get up for us, however. They are like our little brother trying to prove to themselves that they can be like us.”

They forgot to mention Bucky being 1-6 against Bob Richey since he took over and 1-7 after Wednesday night!

Espn gives FU less than 13% chance of winning. Seems a little low but we have not been good on the road.

In NO way is Furman the "little brother" when Samford was swept by this team last year, and overall has a 1-6 record since Bucky Ball came to Homewood. Go Dins! Should be a good one tomorrow night! If we can continue to limit turnovers and play with the level of defensive efficiency that Chatt experienced Sunday, we are in for a show.

I agree. I'd like to be the 4 or 5 and avoid playing Western, UNCG, or Chatt until the championship

Remember last year, when Samford quickly put out that "Conference Champions" post before the Furman game knowing they'd probably lose and have to share the regular season title? THAT is little brother energy

This is so funny i initially didn’t even reply.

But just for fun I looked at our SoCon records over the last 5+ years.

FU is 74-27
Sam is 49-48

The last thing we want is to “be like them” 😊😊

I hope you put that on their board! 👍

It's at Samford, Wofford at home, at Western and Mercer at home. But first things first. -- MD
#Paladins off to SoCon-leading Samford.

Should definitely be a challenge with Marshall back in their lineup. He didn’t play in the first meet.

According to bulldogs forum one of their starters is out. On the other hand I don’t know if AW is playing again yet.

We seem to be playing well without him with a good flow to our offense.....they will work him back in to the offense during practices ...slowly

Rumor is that he's supposed to be back tonight, but I'm unsure of the capacity.

Chat L + Dins W = Dins in 3rd place. same record but Dins would hold tie breaker

3 seed is bracket away from #1 seed (Sammy). Dont know which is better.. beat em early or beat em late

More from Sam forum. wow

Furman is our little backslidden Baptist brother. Their team and fans remind me of a boys junior high Sunday school class, but with alcohol. I can see Heim practicing his Soldier Boy dance in the mirror preparing for the spring dance when he’s going to show out for the adolescent girls. He gets his braces off next month!
