The top 3 teams: Samford, UNCG, and UTC are highly likely to get a bye, most likely the 3 top seeds. Citadel and VMI have virtually no chance to get a bye, that leaves 5 teams playng for 3 spots with 7 games remaining.
Current standings- 4-8
4. Wofford 7-5
5. Furman 7-5
6. WCU 7-5
7. ETSU 5-7
8. MERCER 4-8

Wofford: Home:(2) UNCG, Samford-Away:(4) Mercer, UTC, FU, VMI

would have never thought we would be in a battle for a bye in the tourny.the etsu win is big in that regard.hopefully we can hold off mercer and etsu.perhaps we can get well.and win at least 3 more.mercer, vmi and wofford. i think 10-8 would be enough.

The OP has been updated. WC and WCU that we are currently tied with for 4th both have 2 home and 4 away games left while FU has 4 home games and 2 road games left.

Since we seem to play better at home, I hope this is a good sign for us.

Too bad the Tourney won't be played at home. Gotta become Road Warriors.

Top 6 get a bye. Top 2 also get the advantage of playing one of the bottom 4 - who will be playing with only about 12 - 15 hours rest after playing the evening before.

believe we have closed out etsu for one of the byes as they have now lost 9 which is the most we could lose in conference.but our 2 wins over them gives us the tie breaker..i think mercer has also lost 9 but they have a win against us.one more furman win or mercer loss guarantees a bye for furman.
i think the tourney is wide open .i would prefer the 4th or 5th seed to the second or third.the team i would prefer not to play until the final is uncg.am hoping someone would knock them off before them.
samford, uncg, chattanooga, furman, woffordo,or western could win it.and if they didn't have to play friday even merceer might have a shot.but i don't think they can get a bye.

Have to disagree a little. Wofford and Mercer are not good enough to beat 3 good teams in a row. One ok, but not 3.
