What a joke that UNCG and Samford coaches split coach of the year, absurd politics at play, everyone with half a brain knows Richey deserved that award and we owned both those teams this season.
Richey literally took us from devastation last March to turning that around and reaching even greater heights as a program this season, what a joke to not give that man his credit.

Tell me what did that guy do at UNCG this year, he had 6 seniors and finished in 3rd place, what a joke

Everyone knows Bob Richey is the Coach of the Year and that will be proven this weekend in Asheville. Peques and Foster both should have been 3rd team at the very least.

Final Saturday and one guys team wins at Samford for the title and the other guys team loses to a bad ETSU team to finish 3rd

"Bothwell, who joined Slawson in becoming Furman's all-time winningest players with their 112th career victory on Saturday at Samford, captured All-SoCon honors for the third time."

You are absolutely right about those two coaches. My goodness, the coach at Western did a better job with his team than Samford or UNCG. It’s like the coach that is picked to win the conference, and then proceeds to do it, gets penalized. Yet another reason the SoCon is joke of a league. By the way, what media knows anything about the Southern Conference?

Agree with what has been said. I think Bob has been “penalized” for his recent teams being picked to finish at or near the top of the Conference. Samford and UNCG finished where they were predicted to finish in pre-season. For Christ’s sake Samford had 4 players out of the 10 chosen for pre-season All Conference. Great coaching job Bucky. Don’t know what the SoCon Coaches or Media were thinking with these COY picks.
