I'll take our path over the other 2, we should be heavy favorites in our next 7 games

UNCG at Mercer Thursday. At citadel on Saturday. Will they be focused for both games? I can see them going down in the bellhop lobby.

unc and greensboro play each other so that assures one of those will have at least 3 conference losses.thinking i'd like to see samford win that one and we run the table.no tiebreakers needed.we get the one seed.

Samford looking to avoid 3rd straight loss, going on the road Wednesday at WCU, that should be interesting........

One important factor might be when Jake Stephens makes it back for UTC. Of course they are a much better team with him.
They play UNCG on Feb 18 and Sammy on Feb 22. Maybe UTC will beat both of them.

I would like for us to win our next 7 games, while Sammy and UNCG each lose 2 games.
In this senario, we would be the #1 seed regardless of the outcome of the Sammy game .

Of course, we cannot take anything for granted. One game at a time . Beat UTC !!

Yep would be nice to get it wrapped up before Feb. 25th indeed

Here is a breakdown on what’s left for the top 3 teams that will decide the regular season:
FURMAN
Home(3)- WCU/ETSU/MERCER
Away(3)- VMI/CITADEL/SAMFORD
SAMFORD
Home(3)- CITADEL/UNCG/FURMAN
Away(3)- MERCER/VMI/UTC
UNCG
Home(3)- ETSU/WOFFORD/WCU
Away(3)- SAMFORD/UTC/ETSU

FWIW- FU is back in the top 100 in both Kenpom(86)and the NET(90)
Updated above: just don’t see much help from the rest of the league. Best chances for any help might be SU at UTC if Stephens is back. Same for uncg when they go to UTC. Maybe WC at UNCG? Who do we pull for when UNCG plays at Samford? Of course if FU wins out all of the above doesn’t matter but thats not likely.

Good question, if both Samford and UNCG play each other with only 2 loses who do we pull for?

Without going too far down the tie breaker rabbit hole I would think we want Samford to beat UNCG so Furman could settle it on the court that last game. That’s assuming Furman and UNCG win out. If Furman and UNCG are tied at the end of the season, that WCU loss could determine the #1 seed.

That one seed keeps looking more attractive. Getting to avoid Samford and UNCG is a great reward for winning the regular season.

If Chatt with Stephens lands on that side, even better.

Agree FU 08;, that WCU loss could be costly. Need to hope they finish on down in the standngs.

UPDATED BRACKETOLOGY: Furman is now projected as a 13 seed, facing Gonzaga in Albany. Would be HUGE to our program!

Indeed!

If we keep winning we can certainly get to a #12 seed line as well
