Both teams coming off losses they should have won. Both had big leads late,(FU+13, UTC+19). Could be 2 angry teams that can’t wait to get back on the court, then again maybe not. Gut check time for both teams. ESPN gives the Paladins a 30% chance of winning,

If Belmont who we beat by 15 can win there no reason we can't either......

Are we any good or not?

Yes but when Belmont won theire all of their transfers were just getting to know each other. It was a totally new team. They have had time now to learn how to play together. Apples and oranges. Example: SC beat Clempson early. If they played now CU would be a 20 point favorite.

Starting with that Belmont game UTC is only 3-5

Jake Stephens at practice today, trying to figure out how he can finally crack a winning record in the SoCon after 5 years

Hopeful but not optimistic. Time to have some “show me how good you are” games. I don’t want to be talking about our “potential” at the end of the season.

I do think the first 12 minutes of the UNCG second half was our best of the year. Just need to expand the minutes where we play well-and do it in both halves etc.

Agree 123, the first 12 minutes of the second half was the best of the year, unfortunately it was followed by the meltdown of the yeer. UTC starts 5 transfers. 67 of their 74 points against Sammy came from transfers. FU has no points coming from transfers. Two totally different approaches. UTC is favored by 1 which seems like easy money and espn gives the Paladins less than a 30 percent chance to win

Low academic schools like UTC, ETSU and WCU find it easy to accept players that will most likely never earn a degree from those schools

Hope I am wrong but UTC giving only one point seems like a safe bet to me.
