I think it will take our best effort so far of this season to beat ETSU on the road. We cannot fall behind early AND we have to play both halves. HOPEFUL but not terribly optimistic.

Glad Slawson read my post and started out by shooting from the top of the key to see it he was “feeling it”. Hien should do the same. Make it-keep shooting. Miss first 2-probably stop shooting 3’s.

If one player on a team NEVER ever shoots I have a hard time seeing how he is an asset on offense.

From what I can understand he hurt himself pretty bad. Is he back in game?

He tends to bounce up quickly. He's back in, now.

18 points in just the 1st half ... 4 for 6 from three!

Other than Slawson’s two early 3’s we were 2-13 to start on 3’s with none being close other than two early 3’s by Foster which were in and out.

Then Foster got hot and hit 4 3’s in a row after we as a team had missed 12 shots in a row and were really struggling on offense. We have had very few easy shots-layups, back door etc.

We are 6-30 on 3’s.

Foster has convinced me-he is our 3rd player who can significantly complement Bothwell and Slawson. Time for others to step up.

Foster on fire in first half with eighteen(18 !). Slawson & Bothwell steady with 8 & 7 apiece. Otherwise not much from the rest of the guys on a 38.2% FG %age and 30% 3FG %age and only seven(7) assists, though gotta love 100% from the stripe. Only two(2) turnovers another bright spot

'Din Defense strong - holding the Bucks to 23 on 46%. Even on rebounds, though.

Go 'Dins !!

VanderWal takes two passes with a foot out of bounds. I wonder if there's something about the ETSU floor striping that's throwing him off?

Ditto for Mike Bothwell and so many of our past and present players. CBR helps them all be winners in the game of life. Sometimes I forget that is ultimately much more important than basketball per se. Ideally would like to win at both. 😁

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
