You have a point, but it streamed live on Youtube for free which allowed it to be viewed easily by literally anyone without requiring them to be paid subscribers to something like ESPN+.
So is it as good as the network TV stations, no. However, did it garner more attention and eyeballs than ESPN+, YES!

Just in case the “boring Final Four” chatter nonsense causes anyone to fret the Paladins shined on a dull stage, the ratings for the tourney while Furman was in it were the highest ever.
Men’s tournament scores largest first round audience on record … The complete first round of the tournament averaged a combined 9.2 million per window
