NCAA Tournament Furman 75 #10 South Carolina 67. To show how different it was back then, this was a single game played at the Palestra in Philadelphia. Games were syndicated and local stations had to pick them up to be televised. On thst same day which was a Saturday I went to Charlotte to see Elvis in concert that afternoon and got home in time to see the game. That was a great day and one I will never forget.

One of the biggest and best games in FU athletic history. USC was a basketball powerhouse. I’ll never forget that FU center, Fessor Leonard, was asked about playing a USC top 10 team and he retorted, ‘we’ll see what they made of.” We found out and USC found out what our Paladin team was made of…the right stuff. Go Dins.

Yes I was vague
Meaning this is basically a 48 year drought since winning a NCAA tourney game, next year will be 49 years, if we win a NCAA tourney game next year then the drought will end before it hits 50 years, that's all I meant lol
