First place FU takes on second place UTC

Before tonight UTC was #29 in the Net. After a double digit loss to #280 tonight they will take a huge tumble. In a way I kinda hate it because FU could have picked up a quad one win Saturday. On the other hand I’m ok with it.

I think winning the Southern Conference regular season is the most important thing so happy for UTC to have a loss.

Sort of went unnoticed but FU reentered the mid-major top 25 at #22 this week.

NET UPDATE: UTC loses to #280 by 11 and drops only 8 spots to #37 so a quad one win is still in play. We beat #170 by 9 and drop 4 spots. WC beats #157 Samford by 25 and jumps up 13 spots. Like I said before the Net loves blowout wins regardless who the opponent is.

They shot 31.5 aganst WCU and 16.5 from 3. Of course they will shoot 60+ against FU. We seem to get everyone’s best shot. WCU apparently used a zone defense to defeat the Mocs, which is not in the ‘dins dna.

UNCG blew a 15 point halftime lead and lost and lost to the Citadel. Citadel outscored them 58-36 in the second half. Mercer had an 18 point lead and held on to beat VMI 97-91.

Sounds like he will be out for a while, if not the rest of the season. Could be academic issues.
