Blue Hose

Since DHK Sports' other site is LaurensCountySports.com, I have seen most of both Presbyterian's and Furman's games, either live or on TV. Caleb Gilbert and I both covered PC's loss to Wofford yesterday.

The Blue Hose are relatively young and talented. Even though Wofford clobbered them 76-49, twice PC got within 8 points in the 2nd half yesterday. They ran out of gas when they got in range. They aren't a terrible 3-point team, but they were yesterday: 1-18. The Terriers outscored them 33-3 behind the arc and won by 27.
Rayshon Harrison, a sophomore guard from Greenville, is a fantastic talent. He has a 32-point game this year, and PC has had its moments, winning 3 straight at the University of New Orleans' round robin at the season's beginning.
After the Paladins played UNC and Mississippi State, Presbyterian is visiting Furman at a pretty opportune time. I could see Furman overwhelming PC the same way Wofford did, but I could see the Hose hanging in there, too.
Presbyterian, at present, has a team that isn't as good as the sum of its parts. Ideally, it will be better once the Big South season commences. I'm a bit more confident about that with Furman in the SoCon.
