Probably depends somewhat on their majors. If they aren't interested in teaching, they'll likely move on to schools with more grad options.
I see what your saying, but do we know what Alex Hunters major is? Is it in teaching? He came back for a 5th year

Pure guesswork, but one possible hint is that, if all the academic seniors graduate, it would leave the Paladins with only 4 guards on the roster, and that's including Foster, who is really more of a 3. The Paladins could sign a guard in the late period, but (1) that has not been CBR's M.O. and (2) it's not ideal to rely on true freshmen for depth anyway.
There's no need to take graduate classes unless someone chooses to graduate first, which wouldn't have happened yet. So 4th-year seniors can just choose not to graduate next Spring if they want to come back for the 5th year.
For Bothwell and Slawson especially - they both could have solid playing careers overseas, and might benefit from the extra year of development before hitting the market.
Of course they could grad transfer also.

I was actually thinking Pugh might be one to stick around since he hasn't gotten the same amount of playing time to this point, but seems to be making the strides on defense CBR wants to see. Could see Bothwell and Slawson either wanting to try for something in a power conference (the Noah route), or going overseas (looks like Clay has started off really well).
Feeling spoiled getting to watch Hunter have one more year, and would take them all back in a heartbeat - but think only one could stay and have us be within scholarship limits.

As it stands we only have 11 scholarship guys for sure for next year

Seems like we must feel pretty good about Bothwell coming back next season (hopefully Slawson too)
One would think if we did not we would have offered a guard for next season by now
If they both come back (assuming Pugh moves on) we will have 13 scholarship players for next season
If they don't that number goes to 11 https://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/furman

Both Bothwell and Slawson seem to really enjoy playing They would not have to be in graduate school. Pretty sure AH is not and has not graduated yet.

I believe they are roommates also, so you know they gotta be close
Let us hope they will both be back

Does anyone know if Conley Garrison has another year of eligibility....i.e. a Covid year?
