Looking at the ooc schedules for each team it is obvious that Furman has the best aka toughest ooc schedule. Furman is the only team with 3 major games and only 1 non D1 game. Here is a breakdown of everyones’s ooc.

Thanks for the above lists & commentary. FU probably does have the best aka the toughest. Unfortunately, I notice that Wofford’s schedule is essentially as good as ours. And it continues to seem that they very frequently get SC & CU, both basketball & FB - for which I “fault” SC & CU. I like Furman’s schedule this year, very much. At the same time, it would a good, any year, to get to go play 3 majors that are within a 2 hour drive. So I will conclude: beat Wofford! - all the time.

It's not 'unfortunate' when other SoCon teams play a good schedule, that should be (and actually is) something the conference as a whole is supposed to be focused on. CBR talked about it in one of his recent interviews.

ETSU and WCU seem to have pretty decent schedules also.

On the flip side, pretty sorry slate for UNC-G, considering their recent success and accessible location (given the timing of game scheduling I don't think it would be due to Miller's departure, either).

Thanks for posting AP.

How long have we been waiting to post a comment like that?!

Congrats to CBR & staff.

Not saying that it's unfortunate that Wofford (or anyone else) has a good schedule. Am saying that ours is essentially no better than Wofford's. Apaladin appeared to be saying that ours is better than everyone else's. I WOULD like for ours to be better than everybody else's, AND for everybody else's to be good.

It should not be so unusual. It is so unusual. Let's hope it keeps up in future years.

Affirm, Furman definitely has the better schedule and here is why:
Major games: Furman’s 3 opponents are better than WC’s 3. Wofford’s are closer but that means nothing.
Non D1 games- Furnan has one WC has 2.
Other games: Furmsn gets the nod here too though debateable.
Wofford has prolly the second best. It’s an opinion thing and certainly respect yours.

I did say “probably”, you said “definitely”. I will accept your term and your definition.
Still I am curious to know: when is the last time we were “allowed” a game at GA? CU? SC? … At any 2 of those in same season? … At all 3 in same season?
Yes, it IS better to play stronger teams; AND also “merely good” good whenever we play AND beat GA and/or CU and/or SC.

If CBR’s goal is to prepare for the SoCon we should be the most prepared team in the SoCon even though our w-l record may not reflect it.

Affirm- FYI, the last time we played Georgia was 2016, a 6 point loss. The last time we played Clempson was 2013, a blowout loss. We were playing CU every year until then. The last time we played SC was 2010 a blowout win at Timmons. Don’t think we have played all 3 in the same season as WC is doing this year. if we have its been a long time.
