Was just going to post this. Us fans need a CBR pep talk really bad. Can’t remember when I’ve been as down as a FU fan as I am now. Always had hope for next season in either FB or BKB or both but right now that hope is pretty dim in both.

Yep-not looking too bright for next year right now in BB of Fb.

Mlax and Baseball cut
BB abd FB .... high hopes but low reality
WGolf and VB not to high standards

On the flip side
XC track doing well
WTennis doing very well
WLax doing well
And you can always count on M and W Soccer!

Men's golf also looking up. They just won the Furman Invitational this past weekend and have had some good finishes this year in other tournaments. I expect them to win the SoCon in a couple weeks.

Maybe he’s been in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois focusing on recruitment of future players for Furman. Would that be the reason he has not communicated to Furman basketball fans? Admittedly, my conjecture may be naive. I will feel much better also when it’s May or June and we have reassurance that he will be back for the 2021-2022 season.

If he is out recruiting he’s violating NCAA rules since we are in a recruiting dead period for all sports thru May 31st.

I talked to him late last week for a while. Lots of good stuff happening. Some things frustrating. Like life.

Won't share anything he shared in confidence but will let you guys know we are still in good shape....One interesting part of the convo that he probably wouldn't mind me sharing was around the portal. I asked him if he thinks it will cause him to have to adjust his redshirt/work while you wait philosophy. He was adamant that for us to be successful we have to be a developmental program. Maybe from time to time we lose a guy like Noah, and maybe might even take one if the fit was perfect, but it won't change his overall approach. BTW, he feels pretty strongly that a bench kid that isn't contributing at a P5 level probably wouldn't be much better at our level now. Says the talent gap has narrowed between mid and high majors (see the tourney this year for evidence) and kid that averages 2.5ppg at an ACC school probably isn't going to be a guy that could come in and make difference here.
