It would be better for FU if ETSU wins and assures UNCG of finishing 2 or 3. I don’t think it will have any effect on WC at all. All the motivation they need is seeing purple. If UNCG loses then the winner of FU / WC finishes first and either way FU avoids WC until the finals. It is so important for FU to win to avoid finishing 3rd and then likely have to beat Mercer/UNCG/WC 3 days in a row, not hapoening. Finish first and it is likely VMI/ETSUor UTC/WC or UNCG. Its pretty simple, win and have a chance to win the tourney, lose and chances go way down.

I thought we finish first with a win, no matter what happens between UNCG and ETSU. We would be .7333 and UNCG would be .7222. Right?
Wanna win just to win the conference. I don’t think it matters that much for the tournament. It’s hard to tell who you’re supposed to be afraid of in the tournament now since everybody loses to everybody. If we shoot well we beat anybody in the conference easily. If we shoot really badly, we can lose to almost anybody in the conference. I’m not concerned about the draw.
The big bonus to winning the reg season AND the tournament is that we might get a winnable game in the first round of the NCAA.

Miller was absolutely outstanding in the O.T. period, making two acrobatic shots. If I was a UNCG fan, I would be calling the SoCon office about having to play more games but coming up short for the regular season title. I would be crying about a conspiracy.
