Must’ve come to the realization that they were playing for Samford.

They played Mercer 2 close games without those 2. Then got shellacked by VMI. Gotta still be ready.

Samford’s new head coach Bucky McMillan is something of a high school coaching legend in Alabama. He was the head coach at Mountain Brook High School on Alabama for 12 years and averaged nearly 28 wins per season. His teams won 5 state titles and was ranked as a top program nationally. He coached many great players over the years including our own QB Hamp Sisson who was a shooting guard on two of Bucky’s state championship teams in 2017 and 2018!

Not even the Samford fan boards know what happened to Guess and Gordon.

So, the best explanation has already been posited: they woke up one morning and realized they were in Birmingham.

Which makes wander, what does a Samford recruiting pitch sound like?
“Uh, at least the city is better than Macon.”
“Check out our cool statue!”
“Do you wanna play D-1 or not?”

Macon is EXPONENTIALLY cooler than Homewood, AL

The Allman Brothers Museum alone seals up that question.

We continue to sub way too much. No continuity. Can already tell Mounce is not into playing tonight. Hope he wakes up. Samford with only 7 scholarship players and they are out hustling us.

People that bet on FU are mad. FU up 18, empties the bench with 2+ to go and get outscored 4-0 by Sammys subs and FUs a loser. Thats why you should never bet on games. UNCG and ETSU both lose. It is totally in the hands of the Paladins now. Will be a very tough game at Mercer Saturday. 🤣🤣🤣

About Us

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage

GoPaladins.com is not affiliated with Furman University or its athletics programs.
