I do not know if we will beat Winthrop or not, but I believe that if we beat Winthrop, it will prove very little and will receive practically zero notice in the basketball world.
It would prove we can beat a pretty good team after a tough loss. Furman basketball was abysmal for a long time. The past few years of watching winning basketball and a well run program have been a real pleasure ... I am going to continue to enjoy the current ride and not worry about those in the basketball world.
We are now ahead of Cincy in KenPom

After they lost at home to S. Florida tonight by 3. The same USF team that beat WC by 2 in Atlanta Saturday. I’m afraid WC is going to be better than we hoped.

Lets see how their next two go, at Texas A&M and at Mercer
I am still expecting Woffy to be about a .500 team like last year though

The Winthrop game looks like a trap game. Playing a good team on the road after heavy travel and obvious disappointment. Important because I believe the Conference is much better top to bottom this year. Better talent-top coaches with some experience. It will be a great year in the SoCon. Let's hope its Furman's year!
