CBR was asked about the Timmons renovations and said they know what they need/want. Has been talked about and now it’s time to get started. Hinted some donors have stepped up but more needed. Said the bones of the building are large enough so don’t have to tear it down. He also said more hospitality room is needed(suites)? You would think all games would have to be played at the Well for a year if the major renovations we all want and hope for are implemented.

FYI he also said the start date they are hearing is 11/21. He said that is the date the MB tourney is supposed to start. Said it will be good to be on national TV. Said also that we know we have 2 all conference guys returning but Slawson and Hunter have improved and are ready. Bothwell was playing as good as any guard in the league last year. Said the freshmen are fun to watch. Said everyone knows the starting five but 6-12 are going to be a tough decision. Depth will be much better this year, looking to play 9-10.

About $30M would be nice . This arena is 18yrs old and they felt a renovation was necessary

Doesn’t look like what Timmons needs. They didn’t gut that building. If and when the time comes I look for Timmons, at least the actual arena part to be gutted.

A simple sketch or drawing could really help drum up some support and excitement
In my experience, Capital Campaigns typically begin with a "quiet phase" in which key stakeholders (influencers & high net worth individuals) are approached for input & donations. The goals being to iron-out kinks in the marketing and secure at least half the required funds. Far from simple sketches & drawings, with computer-aided imagery I'd expect amazing renderings and perhaps "walk throughs" in the "public phase" of the campaign. That won't begin, however, until half of the required pledges are secured.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
