Not so fast. WCU looked pretty good, tonight, and they host UNCG Wednesday to finish their first halves.

These have and are clearly the Big 3 in the league, all 3 have been the only consistent major players in the SoCon each and every year for the past 4 years (only woffys one off last year was the only blip in the ETSU, FU, UNCG SoCon Big 3 Era)

I expect this to continue for at least the remainder of this season and next (possibly longer) and will be greater highlighted once we punch our ticket to the Dance this year or next (or both)

I reviewed the standings for the prior three seasons and I see your point. I agree with you.

I am proud of Furman for not losing to any of the lower teams in the conference (considering Wofford in the top 4).

Personally I would take another 7-2 in the second half making us 14-4 in the conference). That would probably put us finishing 2nd or 3rd in the conference. Time will tell. Need to peak at the right time.

I like the timing of having next Saturday off in between 2 home games, this is a good time for us to get some rest for our top 7 players to get ready for this stretch run coming up!

IMHO I think there has been a top 4 for the last 3 or 4 years
The outlier was UTC winning in 2016 but lousy since

Don't think we can be considered part of Big 3 until we can beat WC at least once every couple of years. Until then you can't exclude WC from a big 3 or 4.

To hell with that, there is only a big 3 of ETSU, FU and UNCG over the past 4 years, woffy last 4 years has a 5th place finish in 2017, 5th place finish in 2018 and current 5th place in 2020, they don't belong in this discussion of consistency over the past 4 years in the SoCon and that's the bottom line.

As long as we handle business on Feb. 22nd woffy will only have a slight edge (6-4) against us since 2016, that's not a big deal, but certainly protecting Gville when they come to town will be very important
