SoCon is no doubt a Basketball league

SoCon 3-0 so far today. Chattanooga outlasted Jacksonville State 63-60, UNCG with the win, ETSU went on the road to knock off Ark.-Little Rock.

Samford and Lousiana Tech just started their game.

ETSU leads ar Citadel 54-44 at half before about 100 fans.
VMI leads 6-0 Duquesne 30-24 in the second half.

Wofford beats UNC, 68-64.

Great victory for the Terriers. They have now won two times in the past three seasons at UNC. They did benefit from the fact that UNC's superstar freshman point guard, Cole Anthony, didn't play because of a knee problem. The Tar Heels have relied heavily on Anthony this year. Still, they are ranked #17 and should be able to beat a Wofford team that lost to Butler and Missouri by 19 points each and to South Florida by 14. Wofford has now won five games in a row since losing four in a row earlier this year.

UNCG lost a heartbreaker today when N. C. State hit a half court shot at the buzzer to win the game. UNCG had tied it up with a shot with two seconds left in the game.

UT-Chattanooga won in overtime after trailing much of the game against Troy. It was their second victory over Troy this season. Troy had been on a three game winning streak before the game.

I watched that UNC team against Ohio St. and they got clobbered, I figured they were super overrated, and with their leading scorer out today it added up to the perfect storm for Wofford

By the way, this was the second time this season that UNCG has lost a game because of a half court heave at the buzzer. Montana State beat them a couple of weeks ago after UNCG had scored to take the lead with a couple of seconds left in that game.

Yep, pretty brutal to lose 2 games like that

Woffy game played at a loud and almost sold out Carmichael, which now seats 6,822. Good win for the SoCon.

ETSU up 13 on LSU with 16 to play. They look long and athletic and very good. Totally dominating th boards.
WCU up 2 on Xavier with 1o to go.
UNCG down 3 at Vermont at the half.

FYI the AlabamaSamford game was at the Birmingham Coliseum, something called the Cick-fil-a Birmingham Classic that coincides with some high school gams. No way in h*** would Clempson or SC do something like this with Furman in Greenville.

Thought it was funny at the end of Gonzaga's blowout over UNC their fans(students) were chanting, "We want Wofford, We want Wofford"

Because they know they'd get their a$$es handed to 'em.

This SoCon season is going to be unbelievable and a grind for every team. I feel like the regular season winner could have more losses than normal.
