This will be the first time I've watched the second round of the NBA draft in awhile, right now I would put Slawson's odds at getting drafted at around 50:50

I think Jalen had done everything he can do and deserves to be drafted but looks like he will not get drafted and will have to go the free agency route which ok too. Just don’t understand how GG Jackson is projected early second round and Hunter Tyson late second round and JS is not.

Based on everything I have read and heard, Jalen should be drafted. What have you seen, or not seen, that makes you think otherwise? Surely, Jalen is in the top 58 of players that will be drafted.

Depends on how much stock you put into mock drafts, most of the better known mock drafts don't list Slawson, that does not mean they are anywhere near correct though, they hardly ever get second round picks right.
I still say with the amount of workouts he has gotten (about half the league) that he has about a 50:50 shot at getting drafted next Thursday (June 22nd).

I agree, I think its 50:50 he gets drafted. I put little stock into the mocks - and most of them don't have him being drafted. The combine invite and number of team visits certainly puts him squarely on the radar of the 2nd rd.

Any way to copy/paste #29 (so cheapos like myself can avoid the paywall)?

29. Jalen Slawson
Furman
SF
Top 100: No. 72
Stats: No. 22
Consensus: 0.8 WARP
Slawson's mid-major skill set seems far more likely to translate to the NBA. As a 6-foot-7 forward, he did it all for the SoCon champs, leading the team in rebounding, steals and blocks per game and finishing second in both scoring and assists. Slawson had 19 points, 10 rebounds and four assists as Furman upset Virginia in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.

Surely Slaw is one of the top 58 players in the nation.

For college guys yes, but NBA draft is a lot more than just college players these days, if I was a GM 100% I would use a second round pick on him in a heartbeat.............

Age is the only factor possibly holding him back from being drafted, and usually late second round is younger Euro guys, but is usually also when proven college players go, so that could happen
