Looked great first 15 minutes. Second half totally lost focus. Defense just totally went away and brick city even on open shots. Best takeaway is Bronson is gonna be a good player for us.

other than the paycheck and experience, best thing out of this game is confidence that Bronson gets from it

Seems like CBR rotation is getting closer to the 8 he likes. 3 starters Tuesday played over 30 minute. Bronson played 19 no one else played 10 minutes. Most surprising, Johnston with 7 and House only 4.

They need them to play better but they don't seem comfortable in their roles

Hate we didn’t make it a little more respectable. Scored 26 points the first 14 minutes. 25 the next 26 minutes. KU’s biggest win. They beat UNCW by 18 and Howard by 30. Don’t understand kenpom. WC lost to #6 Duke by 51 and jumped 20 spots. We lose to #1 KU and drop 3 spots.

Yep KU with 62 points in the paint. and shot 62%. They only made 4 threes.

Our bigs defense and rebounding (as mentioned above) needs work. We did not handle Jayhawks aggressive defense well tonight. I thought we also stood around a lot more than usual (vs more constant motion offense). One of our bigger guys has been playing like he’s about 6’2. Learning experience for the guys. Bob will have them ready for FGCU.

On the flip side of some posts Kansas shot 47% from three vs DUKE. we were LUCKY they didn’t get a FORTY point win. Kansas usually shoots the three better.

I’ve been watching. Furman. Duke. Etc. Kansas is top 3 and has so many studs. KJ Adams. Dejuan Harris is a defensive dynamo. Mayo is a sharpshooter and only hit 1 of 5 threes today. AJ Storr is a freak. Not to mention Hunter Dickinson - dirty though he is. Then Coit etc. Griffey. Holy moly Batman. They really killed the transfer market.

Anyway. It was a 21 point spread…

I thought we gave Kansas all they wanted the first 3/4 of the first half but after that our shots just did not go down and our D just wasn't up to par in the second half. That's what you get when you play the #1 ranked team on their home court. If our shots were going in at a reasonable % the game would have been much more competitive.

There is a reason these power 5 teams will not play a mid-major on the mid-major's home court. There is no doubt that Kansas is very good but if the game was at the Well with 10,000 fans rooting for FU it could have been a different outcome.

It could be different on a neutral court in the NCAA Tournament too. Ask Virginia.

I don't think we should be too down about this game. Just take it as a learning experience.

Ok. Both shot poorly. Or both hit more. Whatever. We weren’t beating guys like Dajuan Harris and KJ Adams and. AJ Storr. And Coit. They’ve assembled quite a team. And I hate Kansas

Hope Furman does well. Good wins over Tulane (though Sion is at Duke) and Belmont (though Cade Tyson is at unc ) but hey , Pegues is at Auburn. What stinks is the Mid majors have become the minor leagues. Big teams are cherry picking us
