justy blew this one...we were lucky to get that close...not sure about the .8 thing...maybe a generous call..we could have just foulde him before he turned and shot...a bad decision by Furman not to foul

Could very easily be 7-4 instead of 5-6. Another loss to a mediocre beatable team. Just hoping and praying we can get by PC. That would be an embarrassing loss.

I don’t care what you say apaladin, NOT A FOUL! Total BS!!!
Debateable but you never get close to the shooter, the only chance he had was throw it up, a prayer, didn’t even have time to look at the basket, shot was not close.

at .8 he caught the ball, turned around, jumped up and got the shot off and still had .3 left.... what a player!

Now that I’m a bit more level-headed… here are my thoughts

That was the second worst loss I’ve seen Furman take, behind only Chatt

Davis Molnar may not have played well in OT and at the end of regulation, but he did make critical plays that kept us in the game, particularly on defense.

Furman, again, show great resilience, but couldn’t close it out… with Marcus Foster this game isn’t close, but I can’t only say “coulda woulda shoulda”

Even if furman goes 13-0 or whatever in nonconference play, we’re still not an at large team, so worrying about KenPom/NET doesn’t worry me terribly.

Furman will be ready in March. This game was March Madness, and I hope this lights a fire under our team (especially Bob Richey), similar to how we lost to UNCG in OT last year.

After all that, solid performance, onto the next game. Go DINS!

look at the replay..
1st no way that shot was off in time. If they can review the clock on one end should be able to review clock after that
2nd Molinar did not leave his feet. TU player leaned into him and Molinar arm and all was standing straight up stiff as a board
3 No way a Ref calls a foul like that with the game on the line. unwritten rule to let em play

Still... if you foul right when he catches ball, its 2 shots and ball game

DO NOT GIVE THE REF A REASON TO CALL A FOUL, ONCE HE CATCHES IT RUN AWAY. VERY SIMPLE. It would be great to get that kind of production from PJ every game. He is very capable.

I liked putting Bowser on the passer but he shouldn’t have been jumping up and down, The inbound passer just timed his jump when he was on the way down and that made him a non-factor. Did anyone hear CBR on the postgame? My phone died so I missed it, Can someone give a recap? TIA

in some schools of thought... up 3 you foul
True. But NEVER from behind the 3 point line.
Not sure. If in the act of shooting, u r correct. Its 3 FTs. But a non-shooting foul beleive its 2. Otherwise all fouls outside the 3PT would be 3 foul shos and not 2. Maybe somebdy can check that
