It is possible that a Paladin tournament championship would require victories over the #1. #3, and #4 ranked teams by KenPom. Liberty is #66, Wichita State is #109 and St. Louis is #128. Furman is 2nd at #96. How many tournaments match #1 and #2 against each other in the first round?

Looks like a bracket designed to benefit Charleston.

Wow; no kiddin' . The good news is if we can run that gauntlet we'll be a certified beast.

Will be interesting to see how Vegas views the point spread of this game...
I'm expecting Liberty to be favored by 2-3 points. Should be a fantastic game.
I don’t know my way around betting sites but am seeing some that favor Furman by 5 points. Then ESPN favors Liberty at 71%.

In the simplest terms possible, how are these early-season odds and predictions generated when there is very little historical data to go on? Is it just a guessing game?

Educated guess, maybe sometimes more educated than others ;)

ESPN had the Celtics at a 97% chance to beat the Heat last year and they lost. 85% chance to win the Finals the year before. Safe to look past their projections

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
