Something happened to this squad after the break. I know conference play is tougher but.....
Hein looks lost at his position and so does Bowser..

Kansas scored 86 vs Dins. 91 for VMI

JUst out of respect to the players (no names) some older ones have become liabilities and should probably sit more until they get their act together or just check out and give more time to others

Hughey might not have some skills and will do a bone head thing or two but he will leave his blood on the court

Just don’t see finishing in the top 6 now. Unless something changes Citadel will end up being the only conference road win. Finishng .500 in the league is very very unlikely. Right now it looks like 8th place which will be very disapponting after the OOC season. After tonight maybe Vegas will wise up and realize our record is very deceivng.

Random thoughts…I’m sure CBR was expecting a lot more out of Bronson, House and Bowser at this point.

We’re not likely to beat any of these so-called “trash teams” when Anderson is 1-9 or 1-12 from 3.

The Hughey situation is a mystery and what a great teammate he is for not being noticeably disgruntled with his PT.

I still think CBR has a great eye for talent and has a legit great one incoming with Franklin, I don’t see him redshirting.

Franklin is having a heck of a season and is getting lots of notice…must say that I’m nervous about that commitment. Someone talk me down from the ledge…

Just listening to what CBR has said about Hughey is that he has given up his PT for the good of the team. Don’t know if that is true but if it is that is very admirable of him. Just the impression I got.

Funny, been thinking the same, especially recently.

It's no longer for the good of the team, gotta play him!

So the players are deciding PT? Anybody know what's up with Tommy Humphries?

Most disappointing about tonight was we finally got a one point lead with under 2 to go in the first half, then give up an 8-0 run to end the half. They jump it to 10 the first 7 seconds of the 2nd half. 11-0 VMI run. We never threatened after that and they cruised to an easy win. They started 4 sophmores and a junior and one 6’6” and the rest 6’4” are under. We got took to the woodshed by a young VMI team. Geesh!

After the Chattanooga loss, I expected a lot more fire from this team against VMI. The disappointment continues. Defense was just really bad - we seemed a step slower against all their players and that’s concerning.
I personally feel that PJ and Nick may be feeling too much pressure given the fact that almost nobody else likes to shoot the ball. I see more open 10-12 ft shot opportunities and we just pass the darn ball. I love VanderWals hustle all over the court but he has really regressed as a shooter since his freshman year. Really expected a lot more from Bronson but sometimes he seems lost - I know it’s early but I expected a lot more from him.
I think the bigger problem is that defenses are playing tougher against our strengths - Anderson and Smith - and nobody else is stepping up to help out.
Also FTs are abysmal this season - it’s downright embarrassing. Staff really needs to get this resolved. If you need to bring in a FT coaching specialist, I 100% support it. FTs are easy money.

It's hard to believe that we beat Belmont, Princeton, Harvard, Tulane, Jacksonville, FGCU, and ETSU and now have already lost 4 conference games. I don't know what the answer is other than we are missing shots that we were hitting earlier in the season and the defense doesn't seem to be as good. There was no help defense tonight. Their guards were driving it all the way to the goal and scoring or kicking it back out for a 3. Bottom line is they hit their shots and we didn't. Giving up 91 pts to VMI is hard to take. Give them credit they played a heckova game.

We have 4 bigs and only 3 played. #11 ate our lunch. Maybe Hughey could have stopped 11. There is something wrong with Anderson's fingers. He's got them all taped up. Maybe it's affecting his shooting.

#2 1-7
#3 1-4
#5 1-6
#7 1-9
4-26 15%
What can you say. I try to be positive most of the time but I'm just as frustrated as everybody else. It's going to be a long bus ride back to Greenville.
