This team has a high ceiling and a low floor. More variable than any team in recent memory. We can play amazing for stretches and then almost instantly start playing amazingly bad. We don’t seem to have the mental toughness that we started taking for granted.

Oh well.

Hoping we get our heads on straight and find some consistency.

Watched the replay of the last 7 minutes and it still baffles me how we could play so bad on offense. The defense was good. UNCG had only 8 made field goals in the second half.

But we did give up two crucial offensive rebounds in the last 3 minutes. Then immediately fouled them.

Watched the replay on that foul on Slaw in the backcourt 4 times and I haven't seen a foul yet. He shouldn't even have been close to that guy but it was a phantom foul call.

Saturday starts a tough 5 game stretch against 3 top teams. 3 on the road and 2 at home. UNCG twice, Chattanooga on tbe road and Samford at home plus a trip to WC. This 5 game stretch will go a long way in determinig the fate of the regular season.
Well, started the 5 game stretch 0-1, not a good start. Regardless of what uncg did or did not do, all we had to do was score 9 points in the last 8 mins to win, we scored 8. 11 points and only 3 baskets the last 13+ minutes. We followed a great 12 minutes with a horrible/painful 13 minutes.

Offense isn’t the problem! Our offense probably leads the nation in some stat or other. It is awesome. Get your mind right like me.

lets not forget the 2 obviuos charge calls that were called fouls

HIen and Hughey out was big as Dins suffered rebounding. Hein is smarter than putting a knee in a guys back

Still top 10 in 2 pt fg%, efg%, and assists per game. If you’ve actually watched the games, you’d see that. Last night was a terrible stretch of offense but the team is obviously capable of playing well on both sides of the floor. They’ve shown dominance in many stretches of their wins so if you want to turn your back on the team after every single loss Furmanoid, we won’t miss you.

PP- Yes we would miss Furmanoid and/or any other posters. You rarely post but when you do you’re always trying to run someone off. Why? It”s ok for people to have different opinions and takes than your own. We need more posters not fewer, just sayin’.

It’s frustrating to continue reading posts after losses that almost find joy in the loss. Almost “I told you so” and the sky is falling rather than actually supporting the team.

If you look at other boards like Tigernet, eleven warriors, Red Cup Nation, etc. you see people trying to analyze what’s going wrong and how to fix it. That’s sort of a fun mental exercise for many people. But on the UFFP we know not to do that because that would require us to acknowledge that something’s wrong. That’s making the whole thing pretty boring.

Nice stats. Of course a high 2 pt % likely means a team only shoots three’s and layups. Teams who use the other 1/3 of the court will have slightly lower 2 pt %. High assists means you don’t have people who drive to the basket. And that efficiency number means nothing at all.

I’m just trying to help. CCH finally listened to me and presto - instant improvement.

glad to see foster having back to back consistent shooting games.hopefully he is emerging with bothwell and slawson to be our 3rd consistent offensive threat.
no show for Foster...if he had a decent game we would have won...need more balance as offense was stagnant in the half court
Ahh, so we've reached the 11.5 points per game scorer getting only 15 points, therefore he's a "no show" level of delusion here.
Pure garbage.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, J.P. Pegues is a vitally important part of this team. He was the one that made an incredible move to drive for the only made field goal in the last six minutes of regulation before VanderWal's putback.

His absence in the final minutes of regulation and part of overtime due to leg cramps was huge.

Welcome back SB. Been a while. We all want this team to do as well as possible. Everyone of us, that is the common bond and a lot of posts, mine included are made out of frustration when you see the team give away an important game like Saturday. We are supposed to be a better team than what we saw the last 7 minutes. That game really put us in a hole in the standings when we should be all alone in second place. We really should be 6-0 and tied for first instead of 4-2. That is frustrating, For the league favorite to be 2 games behind after only 6 ganes is not what we expected. The game Saturday left little room for area the next 12 games.
