We did not lose the game in OT. They won it-and with a miracle shot.

Miss one of the 3 3’s they hit in last minute or so of OT and we win.

We lost it when we scored SIX points the first 11:07 of the second half. That cannot happen. I do not care who you are playing. And that is where the word “inconsistent” again comes into play.

Bothwell was amazing and deserved to win.

I think either he or Slawson could be conference MVP next year and think if they both choose to come back we should be favored to end the “Furman curse.”

No I don’t think so.

They did show on ESPN (I think Sports Center) how there were 10 teams who in the Conference tourney since 2013-2014 made all their shots in OT and we were the only 1 of the 10 to lose.

They beat us on a miracle shot and two other late clutch 3’s.

Not surprisingly, the shot & game made SVP's "Best thing I saw today. In totality .. best game I saw today."

Heartbreak for Furman, who deserved better. You can't play better than to make every shot in overtime, but this is why I always say March Madness happens to two teams. One shining moment happens to two teams. Your eyes are drawn to the team that celebrates, but your heart's got to break for the team that's in tears [shot of devastated Slawson]. Cruel & joyous is what makes March unlike anything else.

SVP's eulogy was followed by a chart showing the nine teams who have shot 100% overtime FGs in conference tourney games since 2013 ... all with the result "Won" ... all except the most recent.

We need to get that thought out of our minds. For me, there is a huge difference. We had that football game won, but made a mistake with the slip and gave the game to Appy. Last night, there were no mistakes. Their guy just made a great play to win the game. It was no gift.

Great game by Furman last night. Huge contested 3 to send it to OT and I thought you guys were clicking at the right time and it took a miracle shot by David Jean-Baptiste to win for the Mocs. I'm really hoping the selection committee gives the Paladins a spot as they deserve it.
