"The first 300 Furman students into Timmons Arena on Saturday will receive a limited edition Furman Basketball t-shirt."
Doubt they will need 300. Hope I am wrong and the students do show up.

I'm hopeful that students will start turning out for these games. Over the last couple of years, it appears from TV that there's been some decent student turnout, especially for those Saturday games in January. And to be honest, while it's difficult for many on this board to believe because we all love Furman football, it's a lot easier for the students to get excited about a sport where Furman is ranked ahead of UCLA, Indiana, Syracuse, Notre Dame, etc. instead of one where we are ranked ahead of Central Arkansas, Lamar, PC, Yale, etc. I wish they would support both strongly, but I do understand if the name recognition alone brings them closer to hoops than football. Not to mention shorter games, games not during critical national football games, played during weather where you don't want to be outside doing other things, etc.

Heard last night at the women’s game that tickets were going quickly. You don’t want to be left out of the excitement.

Its clear that our transition game and 3pt shooting game need the assistance of Andrew Brown

I suspect it will take a while for him to find his game ... second half of conference, if not tournament.

Red shirt?

Before year end.

Lyons has ice in his veins. Mounce is going to be a star.

Bothwell played significant minutes.

Clark in for defense at end, swapping with Gurley on offense, in last few minutes.

2100 crowd. Student section FULL with some in end zone.

Brown will help take this team up a notch.

WCU May be better than advertised. Picked 9th in SoCon.

Every game will be a battle. We need to learn how to put a team away. Couldn’t get there tonite despite several chances

Shout out to Clay Mounce. 48 minutes played in a 50 minute game. 3 others logged 40+.

Mounce is a warrior. I agree with Charlie. He is gonna be a star. Getting Brown back will be huge.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
