I'm glad Bob is getting some recognition but the list is pretty bad

Of the 50 it's all Power 6 schools except:

Mark Few (Gonzaga is basically P6 lol)
Brian Dutcher (San Diego St. is basically P6 lol)
Will Wade (former P6 coach LSU)
Leon Rice (Boise St.)
Randy Bennett (St. Mary's)
Bob Richey (Furman)
Bryce Drew (former P6 coach Vanderbilt)

We should feel good about having Richey still with us...

No Niko?
Niko taking on some tough turnarounds has lowered his winning percentage over the years, that might be only thing holding him back in the eyes of those just taking a quick glance...

like this poll... last year Dins were #1 and ended up 5th.

I know I haven't been extensively researching what every transfer could do for every school, but I am having a hard time digesting how Mercer and Wofford are ahead of us, and Samford is still #1 in the preseason poll

Haven't done a deep dive into all the teams but Mercer has a new coach, 2 returning players ( who scored less than 10% of their points last season), 9 incoming transfers, and 2 freshmen. Do not see how they would be rated ahead of the Paladins.
Wofford, OTOH, returns their top eight scorers from last season. I can see where they could be considered an early contender.
ETSU lost some players but also has more returning players than most SoCon teams.
Samford had serious losses due to graduation and transfers and appears to have one returning starter. They have 5 incoming transfers and a couple of freshmen. Why would they be rated ahead of Furman? We have more returning players with starting experience and a couple of redshirts who will be more prepared for college ball than true freshmen.

Wofford returns everyone and has youth that has been developing. People are really high on them

I see no major reason to think much of them...

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
