Was anybody surprised we didn't see full court pressure on that last shot?
Good point. Maybe press and try to keep the ball out of Pegues hands. Make somebody else beat you. Somebody else might have but it would have been worth the risk.

The ESPN talking voice said something like “it may be cold outside but it’s hot in here” when Pegues hit the shot. I beg to differ. That was stone cold. Ice in the veins.
It was hot in Timmons, had to be 75 degrees plus.

guess Pegues is not hurt..lol

Post-game interview CBR said JP was "cramping-up early 2nd half."
JP hit a buzzer beater in HS in the state tournament, the winner against Virginia and today. One time could be luck. Three times is cool and concentration under pressure that you can't teach.
He hit the game wnner at Tulane but we found a way to screw that up, amazing as it was.

We beat WCU but KenPom drops FU from 139 to 141. Guess he's punishing us for not covering the spread.

He also hit a big 3 at the end of the half that turned out to be big!

Anybody know how close Coach Johnson came to getting T’d-up after JP’s three? Announcers on both radio & TV seemed to say it was about to happen.

I don’t have an answer and I know it was a thrilling moment but coaches ought to be more aware. That could have been a huge mistake.

I am sure everybody thought that the game was over. Turned out there was left than a second on the clock. The refs make the right call. They told everybody to leave the court and they did. The delay to clear the court probably benefited WCU. Theoretically gave them extra time to set up a play.

The Pamprin must have kicked in just in time.

Don’t really think you can call a technical at that point because time was out. If they were into calling technicals they should have called some on the WCU coach as he stayed at half court most of the game despite being warned several times.

Funny how in Tulane with .8 the player had enough time to catch, turn around, jump and shoot with .3 still left on the clock

at timmons, horn sounded as soon as ball was tipped
